Add that to the list...

So, if you know me, or have read the 'About' section,  I am a big list maker. I make lists for just about everything. There is the list of what I am doing for the month, then a modified version for the week, then another modified version for they day, and at times I have a long-term list {this list usually ends up in the trash can when the other lists overwhelm me}. So, as you can see, I try to live an organized life.  This, my friends, is challenging with a 3 year old, 1 year old and my new baby: Libby Lane Press.

Well, today I found a list (shocker, right?) on my desk that had several things I am currently coveting and I must say it was rather amusing.  I think I wrote this at 2 am in between making candy buffet paper designs, garden birthday invitations and swanky pink and green striped water bottle wraps. While reading it  I felt  like a child at Christmas again. So, here is my random list that truly sums up my needs and wants in life right now:
-Canon Pixma Pro 9000 printer
-Bare Essentials mascara
-custom die-cut business cards from the wonderfully sweet Suzanne of ShePaperie

-Seagate external hard drive

Thank heavens for the mascara and girly business cards otherwise I am certain you all would be really wondering about me. Note to self: Post a picture soon..

Well..here I go!

So, I have had a love-hate relationship with my new blog. I LOVE the design. I cannot tell you how happy the colors make me and the adorable little fish and the cute buttons. I could go on forever, but it's a blog, not a baby. Now, the part I don't love: The paralyzing fear I have when I sit down to begin typing. With my personal blog I can just type and post. Easy..it's only my family and close friends, they certainly don't judge me, know what I am capable of and typically laugh when they are finished taking a peek into my life as a stay at home mom in the day/Libby Lane Press designer at night/nap time. Well, today was the day. I knew it had to happen. So, I went ahead and tweeted on twitter, posted on Facebook and while I am on a roll I said I am going straight to the blog. Yes ma'am, Libby Lane Press is taking social media by storm today.

So, I am really excited about this new endeavor. I have met some wonderful people on this journey. Who would have thought you could befriend people online and truly feel like you know them from reading their blogs and following their professional successes. I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Stacy Altiery from InkSpot Workshop and Fire Hydrant Press and I knew right away after speaking with her that she would be just what I needed to spear head this little idea that I wanted to make a reality. Stacy and I scheduled calls at 6am and discussed designing, online selling, do's and don'ts and so much more that helped to put my mind at ease and reassure me that if I am thinking about it.. just do it already. So, my etsy store is growing, my sales are growing and in turn so is my confidence about blog posting. So, I am not up to give-aways and tutorials just yet but don't blink... soon enough!
